Why hire a Freelance Designer for your Business in 2023
Working with a freelance designer can bring several benefits. I’ll list out some of the more notable ones:
Cost: Let’s start with the most obvious one. Due to lack of overhead, freelance designers typically charge lower rates than full-time employees or agencies, making them a cost-effective option for small businesses.
Flexibility: Freelancers can be hired on a project basis, giving you more flexibility with your design needs.
Overflow: Your design team (or person) is at full capacity and there’s a project that’s been put on the back burner and you just don’t have the bandwidth to handle it. That’s where a freelancer can come to the rescue.
Speed: Dealing directly with the freelancer who is working on your project, combined with the lack of red tape that comes with agencies generally shortens the time to completion of your project.
Communication: If you’ve ever hired an agency in the past you’ll find that usually you’ll deal with an account manager who plays middleman to a designer who actually does the work. The line of communication can take days. With a freelancer you’re talking directly to the person who will be doing the work!
Your project is more important to a freelancer: Agencies juggle clients and prioritize based on size and price. If you’re competing with a corporation paying 6 figures, it can become very easy for your project to get deprioritized. Freelancers tend to work on a single or small number of projects at once so they can give you their full attention. You’ll feel like your job is the most important thing they’re working on.
Flexible hours and availability: Freelancers are very flexible and it is not unusual for them to work late into the night or over the weekend to finish your project. You’ll find they are accessible almost any time of the day. We’re always here.
